This 6-Second Video Is The Perfect Demonstration Of Why Attacking ISIS Is So Confusing

Today MPs are debating whether the UK should join a coalition of military action in Syria. But everyone, including Ken Clarke, has been getting a little confused.

The problem is that the issue of ISIS is fairly confusing, especially as today's motion is mostly in relation to air strikes in Iraq but much of the media attention in the last few weeks has focussed on the jihadi group's advancement in Syria.

This is because it is believed US and British hostages murdered by ISIS were based in Syria. In addition to this, the UK government last year debated, and voted against, a motion to launch air strikes on Assad's forces to protect civilians from his regime.

At one point during the debate an MP brought up the fact that if the government had bombed Assad last summer, it would have later emerged that it has been on the same side as ISIS.
