Samsung Galaxy Tab S appears again, just ahead of New York launch

We've already heard a variety of things about the much-rumoured Samsung Galaxy Tab S, and now what appear to be retail images of the slate have popped up online just days before its supposed unveiling. The exact model in question in the images picked up by SamMobile is the Galaxy S 10.5, and as you may be able to guess it's tipped to sport a 10.5-inch display.According to the leaks it will come in at a bafflingly slender 6.6mm, which would make the 9.7-inch iPad Air look rather obese at 7.5mm.The weight of the slate is also revealed as 465g, again seeing it undercut the smaller iPad Air by 4g, while previous rumours of a Galaxy S5 style fingerprint scanner are also validated here in another shot.Smartphone callingAnother feature that looks destined for the Galaxy Tab S is the ability to make and receive phone calls from the tablet (when paired with your smartphone), in a similar fashion to the LG G Pad 8.3 linking up with the likes of the LG G2 via the Q Pair app.Previous rumours suggest the Galaxy Tab S range will boast 2560×1600 displays, octa-core processors, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 8MP rear and 2.1MP front cameras and Android 4.4 KitKat.As we alluded to at the start, Samsung has a special "Tab into color" event planned in New York on June 12 where the Galaxy Tab S is expected to be announced and TechRadar will be reporting live from the Big Apple to bring you all the latest. What you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S
