The CW is betting heavily on genre fare with its early pilot picks. The network has given the green light to supernatural drama Dead People, from Californication creator Tom Kapinos and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot. It joins pilots Tales from the Darkside, a remake of the horror/fantasy/thriller anthology series, and Cordon, about the aftermath of a deadly epidemic.
