As news that ISIS had beheaded American journalist Steven Sotloff began to spread on Tuesday, one Internet user experienced this very unfortunate juxtaposition between an emailed Google alert article and a Google ad.
The ad was for the ostrich pillow, intended to enable people to nap anywhere and at anytime.
Sotloff, 31, had reported from conflict zones around the Middle East before being captured in northern Syria a year ago. Sotloff's family initially imposed an embargo on news of his disappearance. Then two weeks ago Sotloff appeared in a video in which the same ISIS fighter beheaded another captured American journalist, James Foley, and threatened Obama that Sotloff would be next.
